Who are the active seed investors in Ireland and the UK?

Raising seed-level investment (under €1M/£1M) in Ireland and the UK is not easy. Here is a list of VCs and angel groups who are active (i.e. have actually done deals recently) in this geographic space. It’s not yet exhaustive so if I’ve omitted anyone, please let me know. Also, it doesn’t include government investment bodies such as Enterprise Ireland, InvestNI etc.

Note about definitions: some VCs state that they are ‘early stage’ when in reality they will only invest in companies which are generating revenue. So although I’m using the definitions below, always ask around before committing time with investors:

Early stage = pre-revenue
Mid-stage = some revenue

Good article, right on the money. Maybe you could add our new fund, EC1 Capital a £10m fund launched in February this year for early stage digital startups!
